PRP Rejuvenation

PRP Rejuvenation, also referred to as the PRP Facelift or Vampire Facial, is a treatment that stimulates collagen production with the infusion of your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) via a fractional micro-needling pen device, leading to fuller, tighter, younger-looking skin. It rejuvenates your skin in a natural way with minimal downtime.

How is PRP Rejuvenation performed?

A sample of blood is obtained from the patient (about the same amount that would be drawn for a lab test). The blood is spun at a very rapid rate in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the other components of the blood. The resulting natural, yellow serum contains 8 potent growth factors that are then deposited back into the dermal layer of the skin following the use of a micro-needling device.

The micropen creates “channels” in the skin with a series of very fine needles. Once the tiny channels are created, the PRP is able to penetrate into the dermis and epidermis.

Improvement in the skin is seen with each treatment, but a series of four treatments about a month apart is recommended for optimal results. The procedure takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the areas treated.

PRP Rejuvenation can be performed as an addition to other treatments such as Thermage, Ultherapy, or Clear + Brilliant to enhance the results.

What are the benefits of PRP Rejuvenation?

  • Stimulates cellular regeneration and new tissue growth
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Adds volume
  • Minimizes scarring or stretch marks

What areas can be treated?

PRP Rejuvenation can be done on the face, neck, chest, or hands. It is safe on all skin types. PRP treatments can also be performed on the scalp to help stimulate hair growth.
