Laura Scott, MSc, MPAS, PA-C

Laura Scott, MSc, MPAS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with special interest in the evaluation, treatment and prevention of skin cancers. She also prides herself on her ability to help patients reach their aesthetic goals through a combination of personalized skin regimens and nonsurgical alternatives to facial rejuvenation and revitalization procedures including lasers, peels, Botox, and dermal fillers.

Previous to joining Westlake Dermatology, Laura’s work focused on clinical dermatology where she gained experience treating a variety of acute and chronic skin conditions. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed through the Texas medical Board. Laura is a member of the Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and is a diplomate fellow of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Laura attended Brigham Young University, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science. She continued her studies at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, where she received her Master of Science in Health and Public Policy. A few years after working in policy and caring for her children at home, she returned to medicine to pursue her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.

Laura grew up in Austin, Texas but has spent the last decade in Houston. When she’s not working, you can find her running or biking outdoors, listening to good music, and/or spending time with her darling three children.
