Facials

Westlake Dermatology offers several types of facials that will leave your skin feeling refreshed and renewed. Our medical grade facials treat a variety of skin issues including acne, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and skin dullness or dryness. Professional facial treatments can also prevent or reverse several common signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles. Let one of our licensed aestheticians help you determine which facial treatment is best suited for your needs.

What is a facial?

Facials are designed to improve the skin along the face, neck, and décolleté. Most facials consist of a multi-step process that cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin to help keep the skin looking and feeling its best. Facials can also help reverse signs of aging by smoothing fine lines or wrinkles, hydrating the skin, boosting collagen production, and removing old (dead) upper skin layers.

Medical grade facials are designed to treat targeted medical concerns such as acne or pigmentation. The formulations of medical facials are generally more powerful than a day spa treatment as they contain high levels of active ingredients. This enables them to yield longer-lasting and more dramatic results. Due to their strength, medical-grade facials need to be administered under the care of a licensed skin care professional.

Acne Facial

Ideal for teens and acne-prone skin types requiring heavy extractions, this facial deep cleans the pores leaving the skin refreshed and free of buildup. The Acne Facial includes exfoliation of the skin, heavy extractions, masque and application of products customized for your skin type and condition. When appropriate, a sugar acid is used to help open the pores and reduce cystic acne.

HydraFacial

The HydraFacial treatment quickly removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while bathing the new skin with cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing serums. By combining cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection simultaneously, it is the newest advancement in non-laser skin resurfacing. Learn more about HydraFacials
