Austin Reconstructive Surgery
Westlake Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery provides reconstructive plastic surgery with a focus of fully restoring the aesthetics of areas traumatized by injury or correcting defects acquired from birth. Our Board Certified plastic and facial plastic surgeons have years of experience performing a myriad of both major and minor reconstructive procedures.
Facial reconstructive surgery is dedicated to restoring the appearance and structural integrity of the face. Using a fine balance of technical implementation and aesthetic artistry, our surgeons recreate natural results. Common facial reconstruction procedures include orbital reconstruction, midface fracture, facial nerve paralysis surgery, ptosis correction, Mohs surgery closure, and laceration repair.
Functional rhinoplasty procedures correct structural issues of the nose in order to restore functionality. Nasal valves can become compromised through natural aging or injury causing septum, sleep apnea, and other breathing issues. Functional rhinoplasty techniques like nasal valve repair, septoplasty, and turbinate reduction surgery are effective in correcting these issues.
Breast reconstruction recreates the look and feel of the breast after its removal for cancer. Through the use of a breast implant or the patient’s own tissue, breast reconstruction can restore the symmetry and aesthetics of the chest. Depending on the preference of the patient, breast reconstruction can be performed alongside a mastectomy or lumpectomy procedure (immediate breast reconstruction) or after their procedure (delayed breast reconstruction).
