Jeffrey N. Li, MD
Jeffrey Li, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at Westlake Dermatology.
Dr. Li grew up between New Jersey and Spring, Texas. He earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Business Administration, both with honors, from The University of Texas at Austin before attending medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He completed a transitional year internship at Spokane Teaching Health Center, then completed his dermatology residency at the University of Miami’s Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, one of the oldest dermatology training programs in the country, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Li went on to complete his Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he served as a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials in cutaneous oncology.
Dr. Li has a particular interest in skin cancer diagnosis, prevention, and treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery, as well as cosmetic treatments including neurotoxins, cosmetic fillers, laser procedures, and holistic rejuvenation. He is an active researcher and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited commentaries in journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and the International Journal of Dermatology, along with national oral presentations at meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Council for Nail Disorders. During his training, Dr. Li was recognized with the University of Miami Dermatology Irving and Eva Mills Dermatologic Surgery Award and inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Li enjoys spending time with his wife and two Maltese dogs, traveling, through-hiking, cooking, and Houston’s diverse food scene.
